"I'm so impressed with White Oak, I'm making it my American home... Why not make it yours?", Padraig Harrington

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, White Oak Golf & Equestrian Community offers an Irish welcome in the pristine Carolina foothills. White Oak, an Irish-owned development that harkens back to the developers' proud heritage offers approximately 750 pristine home-sites, an Arnold Palmer designed championship golf course, a private vineyard, miles of hiking and walking trails, a state of the art Captain Mark Phillips-designed equestrian centre, an assisted living facility and a real village community.

In early 2007, Padraig chose White Oak Golf & Equestrain Community as his home in the United States. He described White Oak as "something amazing and totally unique" and is particularly impressed with the efforts being undertaken to introduce sustainable living, which the developers are committed to implementing across the community. This will form an integral part of what will make White Oak life even more meaningful, as well as, in Padraig's words, "real village cummunity". In October 2007, Padraig was bestowed honorary citizenship of Polk County in honour of his dramatic victory at the 2007 Open Championship.
